Beginning Sunday, August 23, Route 10 and 13 will operate under a new service design as part of CARTA’s August service changes.
The current Route 10A, Route 10G, and Route 10C will be combined and slightly modified to create the new Route 10 (Avondale/Glenwood).
Route 13 will be slightly modified, view changes by clicking on the link Route 13.
With the new route and changes, several bus stops and shelters will no longer be active. CARTA will be removing these stops. A notice is being placed on the stops (image below). To view all the stops that will be removed, click HERE.
These adjustments provide better reliability, improved frequency, simpler route options, and expanded transit access with CARTA Go for East Chattanooga residents. Additional bus stop upgrades funded by the Chattanooga Department of Transportation (CDOT) will include new shelters and bike share stations and are planned along Dodson Avenue to improve accessibility and the rider experience. For Route 13, the realignment is to provide greater access and have a more direct route along Rossville Blvd.
