CARTA continues reduced service due to COVID-19
CARTA will continue to operate on Saturday schedules Monday through Saturday with the last trip from downtown at 9:30 p.m., and on regular Sunday schedules until next year due to the increased cases of COVID-19 in our community. Route #28 Amnicola Highway is also in service Monday through Friday. Rear door boarding will still be provided and fares will be waived during this time. Passenger capacity is also reduced for everyone safety and additional buses will be staged to assist with the overflow.
Effective on Sunday, November 22nd, the Downtown Shuttle will operate from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The North Shore Shuttle will operate from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Per the federal mask mandate effective February 1st, facial coverings are required and must be worn on all CARTA buses and property for everyone age 2 and older. Masks are available on the buses. Noncompliance of this mask mandate is a violation of federal law.
Temporary operating hours at the Chattanooga Parking Authority
Beginning on Monday, March 30, 2020, the Chattanooga Parking Authority located next to the Choo Choo will be open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed on Saturday. For more information, please call (423) 648-4031.
